This project was the second phase of the Old Main First Floor Renovation. This area was utilized as a “swing” space for Phase I. Planning, careful coordination, and attention to detail by AdamsBickel’s preconstruction team provided for successful completion of the project while occupied by students and faculty. Special attention was paid to structural issues and plumbing access to occupied floors. The space was meticulously renovated with high-end, carefully curated finishes.
Ultimately, the work successfully yielded a more functional and modern environment while preserving the historic character and “feel” of the building.
This project is a state-of-the-art child care and learning center for Infant, Toddler, Preschool and Pre-K children. It includes offices and classrooms as well as nursery facilities, a laundry area and staff lounge. The playground area provides the children with a safe fenced-in space for outdoor activities.
This renovation project created two “Simulation Labs” and a flexible “Skills Lab/Instruction Area” for the new Department of Nursing at Cabrini University. The labs include bed locators and headwalls with services that the nursing students will encounter in hospital settings. Data and AV infrastructure were included to be able to monitor, record, and review the lab activities with the students. The Skills Lab/Instruction Area is now separated from the Main Entrance of the building.
The additions and renovations to this existing high school involved a multi-phase effort with multiple Prime Contractors. The project spanned more than a 3-year period. The exterior of the existing school was covered with a thin brick veneer to ensure uniformity with the new additions. The interior of the existing building was updated with new finishes to provide a smooth transition between the old and the new. This project was completed on-time with a fully occupied school throughout most of the construction process.
